Batch of MMC 72:
The Batch of MMC 72 consists of those who joined MBBS at Madras medical College during the year 1972 and graduated during and after 1979 . There were 210 students joined in 1st MBBS at MMC during 1972, out of which only 150 students continued at MMC from 2nd year on wards and rest of them continued their studies at Stanley Medical College. Apart from the above 210 students there were many senior batch students who studied with us from 1972-79 whom are also included in our Batch of 1972 if they desired to join with us.
During the UG course several Tours/Picnics have been arranged - First year picnic to Mahabalipuram was the most interesting one attended by many of our batch mates. The other important trips include one to Cochin, and other to Goa apart from short trips to Kalavai, Konai falls etc.

Our batch graduates are practicing in USA, UK, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and in several states of India including Andhra, Telengana, Bangaluru, Pondicherry, Maharashtra, New Delhi apart from most of them practicing in Tamilnadu.
Many of our Batch mates have been elevated to the post of Professors and three of them became Deans of Medical Institutions including in our own alma mater MMC and in other Govt. as well as private Institutions.
Our batch Silver Jubilee meet was celebrated during 1997 and now the 45th year meet is being organized during Feb.12th & 13th at Raddison, Mahabalipuram.
There are several mini meets are being arranged and a whatsapp group MMC Batch of 72 was started during June 2016 which unites every one especially those who are in abroad with their Indian counterparts very strongly.
